Limitations of the feedback

I have recently collected some audience feedback for the promotions package however I feel that there were some limitations to the feedback that we had collected.

When we gained the feedback for the trailer I felt as though we didn't gain any feedback from a range of audience members, even though our film targeted an audience from the age of 12 upwards we only gained feedback from a group of people aged between 17-20. This meant that we didn't get as much of a range of opinions from different ages, this meant that we didn't get any feedback from a younger or slightly older audience which means we do not know for sure if they would be convinced by the trailer in order to go and watch the film.

This was also the case when I gained the feedback from the magazine and website because the audience for this again was aged between 17 and 20. this meant that the audience we were targeting couldn't give their opinion as we only asked a small part of it.

Conclusion
In the future I would like to set up a focus group of a range of people who fall within the target audience that we have chosen, this way we will get the opinions of the entire target audience rather than just a small portion of it. I would also set up a screening of the product to at least 20 audience members and ask their opinions so that I would be able to gain a range of feedback in order to improve the products that I am making.
