In this session we decided to start to edit certain pieces of footage together. We decided to leave the first parts of the trailer and focus on the end piece of footage as we felt this may take a long time to learn how to do and to put together. We started by using the following tutorial to learn how to shrink the pieces of footage so that we could have a screen that contained 4 equal sections.
After splitting the footage into 4 equal sections we we able to add in the 'record' edit. this would mean that we could add in a recording sign and a timer so that it seemed like George was being watched by his stalker. to do this we used the 'timecode generator' we were able to sycronise the timings and and change the text 'TGC' to 'REC'.
Finally to finish this section of footage we wanted the footage to look like it had been tampered with; this way it would give the audience a reason to go and watch the film (to find out what had happened to George). To do this we used the video filter 'Bad TV' this made it so that we could make the footage duplicate and wobble on the screen to just before it turned off.
We could then add in the noise effect after this which would look as though the screens had turned off; This was located in the render tab and I could simply drag this feature into the time line. we cut down the Noise to an appropriate amount and added in a sound effect that we sourced from Garageband.
